 Nasi Kuning Komplit…..hmm lekker
 Perkedel Kentang and Telur Dadar Suwir
Perkedel Kentang
Ingredients;
– 500 gr potatoes, cubed, deep fried and mashed
– 150 gr minced meat/chicken
– 3 shallots sliced, deep fried
– 2 garlic sliced, deep fried
– bunch celery chopped
– 2 eggs
– 1/2 tsp salt
– 1/2 tsp pepper
– 1/2 tsp nutmeg
– oil for deep frying
– mixed all ingredients together except 1 egg
– shape in a form of a little ball
– whisk the remaining 1 egg
– roll the perkedel in the egg mixture
– fry until golden brown
Sambel Goreng Kentang, Udang en Ati…kemaruk semuanya dimasukin :p ama Kering Tempe
 Ayam Bumbu Rujak and Serundeng Kelapa

Urap ala Bali
– 100 gr taoge
– 100 gr green beans, cut
– 100 gr cabbage, thinly shredded
– 150 gr coconut grilled on the stove until its a little bit brown and fragrant, grated
– 1 cm lesser galangal chopped
– 3 lime leaves chopped
– 1 big red chili sliced
– 2 bird eye’s chili (as desired)
– 3 shallots sliced
– 2 garlic sliced
– 1 kaffir lime
– boil grean beans
– blanched taoge and cabbage
– fry chili, shallots and garlic until slightly brown
– mix the mixture with lesser galangal, lime leaves and grated coconut
– when you are ready to serve the urap mix the spices coconut mixture with the vegetables
– squeezed a little bit of kaffir lime
 Ayam Goreng Ungkep and Sambal Terasi
Sambal Terasi
– 1 big red chili
– 3 bird eye’s chili
– 1/2 tsp terasi
– 1/2 tomato
– 3 shallots
– 2 garlic
– salt
– fry all ingredients except salt
– crush all fried ingredients and salt nicely until smooth in an old fashioned indonesian cobek (mortar and pestle)
Egg salad bun
– 1 wholewheat bun
– salad leaves
– cheese slices
For the egg salad
– 1 boiled egg
– 1 tbs mayonnaise
– some black pepper
Mix all together
– Assemble the bun to form a sandwich 🙂
The other thing that I had there; Corn salad (corn mixed with shredded cheese and mayonnaise), tomatoes. Then in the snack box; 3 plums, rice crackers, 1 mini donut, 1 small bowl of blackberry self harvested in the bushes down the road….hahaha (they are a bit tad expensive here too 😛 )

 I like to take pictures in this dining table in the living room (we have one room for living and dining 😛 ) because of the big window. Not that I have other choices of place as we live in a 2nd floor apartment so :s no outdoor studio for me. There’s lots of daylight over there. But still during the day when the weather is bad and that’s usual for Holland :p it’s very difficult to get good lighting. When I have bad days what can I do…. I just use the dining room’s light which resulted in yellowish picture :'( Yah ginilah nasib fotografer amatiran……  This is one picture that is yellowish :s and that is Whitty the kitten intruding the photo shoot because of the chicken nuggets. Hehehe Whitty go down before Peter knows that his food has been sniffed by you.
 And this is the latest photo shoot in my studio odong-odong. Strawberry Orange Trifle.
 Happy Birthday Ruud!!! lang zal hij leven, lang zal hij leven, lang zal hij leven in de gloria!!!! Bagi yang di Indo, nyanyiin lagunya musiknya sama dengan lagu panjang umurnya…. It’s funny huh that those two songs have the same music. Now who’s stealing from who?? 😉
 For Ruud’s B’day party I made this cupcake. Since he is a football fan and computer freak so this is my interpretation of things related to him. And pleeeaseee people do not laugh seeing my cupcake!! Gw kan cuma pembuat cupcake jadi2an kekeke :p Cupcakes on top were suppose to look like football 😛 then the other two were suppose to resemble grass and football. But since I couldn’t find chocolate balls that looks exactly like football so I made do with those silver balls. Then the cupcakes in the bottom are supposed to look like laptop, @ sign and Mac Apple sign. All the drawings in the cupcakes are made by my personal artist 🙂 Some girls from the party.  My plate at the party. Rendang was made by me 🙂 using secret recipe….hahaha devil-laugh-mode-on. Then there were mie goreng, perkedel and sate ayam. Surprisingly all made by Olivia and Ruud. Hey Liv I thought you said you couldn’t cook!!! You could after all. Only the cap cay was from the local Chinese Restaurant.
Our friend Putu is going home this Friday to Bali. So her host family organized a surprise farewell party. We got there at 2.30pm but Putu was not there yet because she and an appointed friend was still out of the house. By 3pm finally they arrived and she was in for a big surprised. A nice surprised indeed. And as expected there were some tears but lots more of laughter. Goodbye Putu, heel veel success and I’m sure we will meet again either here or in Bali….or other places, you never know where the winds bring you. 🙂

And of course it wouldn’t be complete without my cupcake, the wannabe cupcake maker 😛 Ok people now don’t laugh….I couldn’t draw at all!!! So I appointed my very own artist aka Peter to do the drawing. The far right in the corner was meant to be suitcase if you guys are trying really hard to think what picture is that :p and in the bottom is a plane…yes it is a plane. While the two flags are supposed to represent Dutch and Indonesian flag :p
On Wednesday, 25th June 2008 we were invited to a friend’s Wedding. It was held in his parent’s house in Weert, Limburg. It was about 1.5 hours with the car. The groom is our dear friend Folkert and the bride name’s Ria. The party was outdoor of course since it’s still nice summer weather. All the guests were lovely, we were sitting in the garden, lots of drinks, nice conversations, lots of photo making in between of course 😉
 This was my plate at the party…Hmm yummy Indonesian food. I chose white rice, nasi goreng, mackerel fish in hot sauce, tofu and vegetable, lumpia, perkedel, rendang and sapi in kecap sauce.
 This is us in Indonesian costume theme 😛 Peter was wearing batik we bought in Bali last year and me was wearing kebaya from my graduation 2 years ago…lol

I bought this little strawberry bush at a supermarket chain. I really like berries and that bush was on sale so I thought I give a summer plant to the appartment.
For Dina’s b’day party I made 20 mini cupcakes. I got the recipes from the same book that I used before from Sue McMahon but this time I made different taste with orange zest and chocolate sprinkles.
I got an insider info that Dina likes purple color so I made her pink and purple cupcake. I really like the result as it is really girly color 🙂 Thanks again Maki and Cupcake Momma for the inspiration.
Peter likes to eat muesli and yoghurt for his breakfast so to add a little bit of twist of his usual muesli breakfast I made this. it’s really easy; first layer the glass with a dollop of honey, add another dollop of yoghurt, add some tablespoon of your favorite muesli, another dollop of yoghurt and at last garnish with some fruit you have in hand i.e. mandarine, strawberry, blueberry, banana etc.
Finally my very own white cat, just like witi and kito 😀
